“Project IOWA came to me at a time of need, when I had just been laid off for the third time in six years. When I found Project IOWA, I lacked the self-confidence and support I needed to find my next step. Project IOWA surrounded me with the open arms of community, the VIP curriculum, and the mentorship and training I needed to believe in myself again. I'm so happy to have found a job and a new field of work that suits my passion for the LGBTQ community and public health. I'm the happiest at work I've been in a decade.”

“I came to Project IOWA when I was at a transition in my life, I had just begun putting my life back together after making some imperfect choices. I did not know where to start and Project IOWA showed me that regardless of my choices I had value as a person while the curriculum and staff helped me not only attain my goals but my purpose. Throughout this journey, the skills I have learned in Project IOWA have led me on my path to greatness and continue to promote growth and stability along the way. My career continues to grow and evolve due to the foundation that was laid within the rooms of Project IOWA classes.”
